I had neck pain since 2 months, with the pain radiating to right upper limb, associated with tingling, numbness, weakness and imbalance while walking.I was diagnosed by Dr.kothari as a case of C3-C4 prolapsed intervertebral disc with cervical myelopathy which means compression of the spinal cord in the cervical spine. Dr.Kothari explained us in detail about the modern surgical advancements , to enchance faster recovery. The surgery was complete uneventful. It showed good signs of recovery. Physiotherapy as per the protocol was started on day 1. I was made to stand on the second day and made to walk on day 3 after surgery.I feel completely pain-free and started walking individually with walker support on day 5 after surgery.

I had low back pain since 5 months, with the pain radiating to right lower limbs.It was associated with tingling and numbness. I saw in the OPD by Dr.Ajay Kothari, consulting spine surgeon at Sancheti hospital. A fresh MRI was ordered along with digital x-rays of lumbar spine.I was diagnosed by Dr.kothari as a case of L5-S1 grade 1 anterolisthesis which means compression of spinal cord in lumbar spine. Dr. Ajay Kothari suggested for surgery was explained as had the risk of being completely paralyzed.My relatives were very worried about the success rate of spine surgery. Dr Ajay Kothari is an extremely competent and skillful surgeon. He has good clinical skills to diagnose the condition. Uses minimum investigations which is contrary to todays scenario. Emphasis on physiotherapy and ergonomics is the main stay of treatment. Very compassionate. My mother underwent complex spine surgery and had a very successful outcome.
