Dr. Ajay Kothari spine surgeon from Pune, secured the top position in the nationwide DNB orthopedics examination. He was awarded a gold medal by Union Health Minister Dr. Ambumani Ramadoss on February 28th, 2008 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. With only a 3-4% success rate, the DNB exam is known for its difficulty level, making Dr. Ajay Kothari’s accomplishment even more impressive. He excelled among 412 candidates and was guided by Padmabhushan Dr. K.H. Sancheti and Dr. Parag Sancheti.
Dr. Kothari, who had previously topped his MBBS at Bharati Vidyapeeth in 2005, hails from a family with a rich legacy in medicine and public service.
This accomplishment adds another feather in his cap.
